NEW OFFER: Induction Workshops / Syria Response
Work in complex conflict environments such as Syria can be fraught for those who are unfamiliar with the recent history and socio-economic context that shape the situation on the ground.
The Syria in Context team have been working in and on the Syrian conflict from the very beginning. We are dedicated to keeping those working in the Syria response up-to-date on current developments - as well as bringing new colleagues starting this summer up to speed.
We have therefore decided to offer the Syrian in Context expertise––drawing on the expertise of Emma, Tobias, and Suhail, as well as relevant colleagues where appropriate––for new starters in the Syria context via a variety of subject-specialist induction packages.
Reading Lists: Our tailored reading lists are ideal for new colleagues looking to get ready for their new role on their own time and pace or departing staff wanting to round-out their handover package. Let us know the sector or area they will be focusing on and we will provide a comprehensive list of books, articles, reports and briefings - ordered and prioritized according to your professional needs and considerate of your time constraints.
Online Briefing: Our online briefings are designed for new starters that are looking to up-skill themselves and get ready for their new role or organizations looking for a simple and flexible solution for their internal handover. Briefings will be held on fixed dates starting in August. Participants will receive a comprehensive reading list in advance and will then undertake 2 x 2-hour briefings via video conference.
Induction Workshops: We offer training and induction workshops for organizations or groups of organizations who have a number of starters new to the Syria context. Our workshops will allow your team to come up to speed and on the same page on the conflict context. We may add additional specialized trainers to meet your specific needs. Induction workshops require a minimum number of attendees.
If you or your organization may be interested, please reach out so we can discuss your organization's needs and put the wheels in motion ahead of your new starters arriving. Please feel free to forward this email on to colleagues or successors you feel would benefit from these services.
